2005 Sangiovese

Release Date: March 29, 2008
Cases Produced, 83
Retail Price: $25

Varietal: Sangiovese
Vineyards: Snipes Canyon Ranch
AVA: Columbia Valley
Cooperage: Neutral French
Aging: 26 Months

Notes: For the most part this is a well balanced fruit driven wine with very broad appeal.  I prefer to age Sangiovese in neutral barrels to let the delicate fruit components and vineyard characteristics come forward.  Medium bodied with lots of red fruit, a round balanced palate chased with a smooth, supple finish.  I really enjoy this wine around a large table of friends and a family style Italian meal, it’s a perfect fit.
